Riccarton Apartments

2014

Forming the boundary between Hagley park and the rapidly developing Riccarton suburb, this project had to showcase the benefits of high density living while forming a new gateway to the western suburbs.  The building was pushed to the street edge and car parking moved to the rear of the site; giving a revitalised modern presence to the street scene, which was broken up by both cafe and green space. This resulted in each apartment having its own balcony with maximised views over both park and suburb; giving each residence a maximum sense of connection to both urban and natural settings.
