Tuhoe HQ

2010

New Zealand’s Tuhoe Iwi were embarking on establishing a new cultural identity and governance within their tribal lands. Our competition entry explored notions of manaakitanga (hospitality) and Kaitiakitanga (stewardship) as intrinsic to the clusters of buildings and their engagement with the community. Shortlisted to the top 2 out of 50 submissions we unfortunately lost out to the country’s largest practice. We did however continue to undertake other project work successfully with Tuhoe.
