This brief for this rural retreat called for an acknowledgement of the setting, with Mt. Grey as the backdrop. The house was situated to point directly at Mt Grey with all living and bedroom areas providing clean view lines and also maximising the available sunlight. This award winning contemporary house used bold shapes to create a statement and act as a response to the flat landscape.
