Inner City House
2005
A stones throw from a stunning surf beach, this tiny rear site of only 260sqm, needed to aspire to great things if it wanted to meet the requirements of family living. Simple forms close the house from the street while opening itself up to the northern rear courtyard. The house feels huge as it connects the living spaces boundary to boundary with wall to wall glass, blurring the inside and outside. The term 'Compact Living' becomes a misnomer when small sites are treated delicately.
